I have a long history of love affairs with both oversized jackets and leather pants.
When I saw this cream colored jacket by Just One Answer (J.O.A) on sale at Halls Department Store for only $48 I had to pull the trigger. I am so happy I did because I have already worn it multiple times, styled differently. These two neutral colors, cream and brown, are both personal favorites. I think cream brightens every outfit and always looks fresh! Brown is a winter staple.
My leather pants, by Theory, were a birthday splurge purchased last January at a post-Christmas Nordstrom sale. They are still worth every penny. Chocolate brown leather is not only timeless and forgiving but it is a nice change from black. Leather is my dressy go-to during the winter months because leather is SO warm. I own multiple pairs of vegan leather pants and although practical (they are super affordable) and fashionable, they are not nearly as warm as the real deal. Real leather is both soft and acts as a thermal layer, holding in your body’s own heat. If you are like me and dislike paying full price, hunt for amazing deals on leather at end of season sales at major department stores.
You may remember my Donald Pliner booties from this fall? They add a punch of style to an otherwise basic ensemble. The grommet look is just so rock and roll! Even though I am really a thirty-something mother rolling car pool with the Frozen soundtrack blasting, I still FEEL slightly hipster (if only in my head).
